Everything about meet point, stops, and the day was clearly laid out an announced on the bus ride to the national park. The hike was beautiful a lot of decent and rocky so recommend decent hiking shoes. After the exit of the hiking portion there is a road that brings you to a small town and beach area. The water is very clear and perfect after a long hike. Definitely recommended packing bathing suit, towel, any change of clothes/shoes you can carry for that to be able to enjoy it comfortably. The hike was beautiful and pleasant (took us about 3.5 hours) and we were happy to not be stuck with the group and be allowed to go at our own pace. The rocks are very slippery so you will want to bring shoes or boots with good adherence and stability. We departed from Malia at 5h00 and came back at 22h30. Props to our bus driver who made us feel safe during the whole trip even with the winding and steep roads.”

Przewodnik Dimitri dokładnie wyjaśnił przebieg wycieczki, dając jednocześnie przestrzeń do zadawania pytań w razie niejasności. Wszyscy dostali mapy wąwozu oraz jak trafić do portu. Pierwsza połowa trasy przez wąwóz to głównie schodzenie w dół, więc trzeba być gotowym na zakwasy w łydkach przez następne parę dni. Później jest już bardziej płasko. My miałyśmy buty sportowe i było w miarę wygodnie, ale na pewno buty górskie za kostkę byłyby duże stabilniejsze i można byłoby w nich pokonać trasę szybciej. Warto też wiedzieć, że studenci z krajów UE z legitymacją studencką wchodz...”
